Alaska van life took us to Valdez, Alaska for one of our biggest bucket-list adventures yet: glacier kayaking. After spending the summer traveling Alaska in our Noovo camper van, we had one more thing we wanted to do before leaving the state. We traded the van for kayaks and paddled across a glacier lake surrounded by waterfalls, mountains, floating ice, and some of the most incredible scenery of our entire Alaska road trip. This was easily one of our favorite adventures from our summer of van life in Alaska. Getting out on the water gave us a completely different view of the glacier, and the closer we got, the more unreal the scale of everything felt. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Vancaskeys adventure without something going wrong. At some point, our microphone ended up in the glacier lake. 😂 After thousands of miles living full-time in a camper van and exploring Alaska, this felt like the perfect final big adventure before we start making our way back toward the Lower 48.
